20th December 2003 Windsurfing: Overcombe Wind Direction: Wsw Wind Stength: 20-25 Surf / Sea State: 4ft Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy/sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: After not being able to sail since Fon meet-oct 6th, :( Today was looking like a good one.20-25knts cross shore with 3-4 ft surf very overcast,rigged a floppy 5.0.After putting on my suit the skies cleared & the sun came out(perfect someone said),but usally at overcombe ive found this to be a sign its about to swing North.Which as i reached the waters egde happened,it went very Nw so causing a huge shadow for the 1st 100mts off the beach,still thought if i could make through the shore break i might be able to float out to wind which was still white capping offshore,made it over the shore break & ended up swiming about with kit for 15mins as not even enough wind to wallow out.De-rigged,drove a little pissed off.See lookat me pics to see what it was like 10 mins before i hit the water.... |
